The Fault In Our Stars

Over the long weekend I had in Florida I read The Fault in Our Stars by John Green on the plane and on the beach. This book was absolutely amazing. It is hard for me to find a book that I can't put down and this was one of those books. I honestly didn't think that I would get pulled in as much as I did but the story and the way it was written pulled me all in. I laughed, cried and felt a lot of emotion just from the book and reading it made me even more excited for the movie coming out next summer. If you haven't read it I highly recommend it but be prepared to bawl your eyes out.

Visiting Every Country

I stumbled across this video over the weekend and I thought is was awesome. Film-Maker Graham Hughes from Liverpool traveled to every country between January 2009 and December 2012 documenting every time he was in a new country. It is absoulty amazing what he did, but what makes it even cooler... he never used airfare. He traveled to 201 contries whilst never getting on a plane. He insted used boats, trains and anything else to get to where ever he had to go. Now you might be asking yourself why in the world would he do this crazy adventure. He did it all to raise awarness for Water Aid, a charity raising money to provide people in need the most basic thing, water.

You can check out a more detailed version of his trip on his website:

or check out his video below:

Now I really want to do this... anyone else?

Surviving Whole Foods

I found this post recently and I thought it was hilarious. Comedian Kelly MacLean describes her feelings about the grocery store Whole Foods and all the interesting people and products that come with it. I personally love going to Whole Foods but she describes it as going to Vegas, "You go there to feel good but you leave broke, disoriented and with the new found knowledge that you have a vaginal disease." It is a hilarious article and I defiantly recommend reading it.
Enjoy xx

The Faces Of Facebook

I stubbled across this website a couple of days ago and I thought it was awesome. The Faces of Facebook is a website that take every single person on Facebook's icon picture and then complies then into one huge picture chronologically and was so popular a couple of days ago the entire wedsite crashed.

You can zoom in to the picture to be able to find profile pictures of people around the world. You can now even link the website with your facebook to be able to find yourself and all your other friends in the picture.

Before you start freaking out that some creeper will  find you, A) There is a one in a (litteral) billion chance that someone will find your picture and B) It's completely legal. Natalie Rojas, the programer of the website says:

“Relax, We’re not breaking any Facebook privacy rules because we don’t store anyones private information, pictures or names. We’ve just found a harmless way to show 1,260,866,093 Facebook profile pictures and organize them in chronological order”

Breaking Bad

Last night one of my favorite television shows came to a end after only 5 seasons and 7 Emmys. I feel like I need to share this program with you in case you haven't ever watched it yet. Breaking Bad is a show on AMC and after 5 seasons, came to a dramatic close Sunday. For all of the Breaking Bad fans out there that may have not watched it yet, I'm not going to spoil the ending for you. But for all the other people out there I highly suggest going to watch it. You can stream all of the episodes on Netflix and there are all fabulous to watch.
For all of you that know knowing about the show, it follows a 50 year old chemistry teacher as he is diagnosed with lung cancer and his family needs money to cover the bills and in the chance that he will die. To solve this problem he teams up with a old student of his and they start to cook high quality meth. After that things get super complicated.
You may not think as me as the type of person that would watch a crime/violent drama but I was so into this show it was almost sad. There are few shows were I actually really like and this was one of them, so go out and watch this show, you won't regret it.

My Imaginary Well-Dressed Toddler Daughter

If you haven't already heard of this hilarious Pintrest board, please check it out, you won't regret it. It was thought up by Tiffany Beveridge and she created the board on Pintrest, My Imaginary Well-Dressed Toddler Daughter. She created a fake child named "Quinoa" and the board now has over 75,000 followers. She finds different pictures of well-dressed children and puts them up on her board with different hilarious descriptions like the ones below.

"Though she tried to make it work with a double cardi, high bun and vintage skateboard, Quinoa was going to have to tell Gucci that she couldn't endorse their reinvention of the Mom jean"

"No amount of cheery strawberry desserts could distract Quinoa from the party's disturbing lack of bunting, photo booth props and mason jar beverages"

"Quinoa isn't afraid to drop to the floor in the middle of a miniature hat party to give an accurate insurance appraisal of your antique Persian rug"

But last week there was an announcement on the board...

Quinoa is getting a book! You heard that right, Quinoa, the well-dressed daughter pictures will now be transformed into a book and be sold on shelves next spring! I'm excited!

If you want to check out more of Quinoa follow the board on Pintrest:
