Daily Makeup

Now don't get me wrong, I love makeup, but daily its not my first thing to worry about. My daily makeup routine can be described in one word: simple. For those of you out there who wear a full-face of makeup everyday- wow. But for those of you who are more like me and choose to wear a very basic  look, here's your insight into what goes on daily in my makeup world.

a. Lancome Dual Finnish Powder

I normally don't wear powder every single day but for those days when I may be looking a little shinny or I need a little extra support, I reach for my favorite powder.

b. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream

This was one of the products that made it into my Bobbi Brown Makeup post back in January and I am still in love with the magic it can do.

c. Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit

Yet again, another product that has snuck into my daily makeup look from my Bobbi Brown favorites. This is a perfect concealer that has a heavy coverage for when you are having one of those days where a light concealer just isn't enough (We all have them.)

d. Maybelline Super Stay Concealer

This seemingly simple drug-store bought concealer has saved me on countless occasions. It is the concealer for when all you need is a little touch up and it can work wonders. 

e. Bobbi Brown Everything Mascara

A staple for every girls makeup bag is a classic mascara. This one from Bobbi Brown is my all time favorite to pop in my bag and go.

f. Chanel Bronzer

Although not available anymore I use this bronzer for those days when I need a little color on my face. I pop on this bronzer to give my face a little lift.  

The Dancers Among Us

Like many little girls, I too dreamed of someday becoming a ballerina. Although this dream will most likely not become a reality, I love to try and dance whilst ignoring the friendly laughs from my friends. 

Nonetheless the other day while I was roaming about our school's library I stumbled across the book Dancers Among Us. 

While immediately intrigued by the cover and the title, I opened the book and what was inside brought out the little girl who dreamed of dance. The book was filled with photographs showing the talents of those around us, in dance. Each photograph showed seemingly ordinary people in not-so-ordinary poses and it made my dream of one day dancing spark.

My Music Ep. 4

Now that we are all into spring (finally), its time to move our music tastes out of the winter bogs and into summer hits that you can take to the beach. A Beach Trip

For the past ten days, I have been taking a much needed vacation to the beach to escape school and the city. The beach is one of the only places where I feel that I can truly relax, anyone else? The week was full of family time, tanning time and a time for me to break out my Lilly Pulitzer bathing suit. Well now that Spring Break is over (sadly) its time to push on until May.

Who wants to go to Mars?

The question that persists in the minds of children wanting to be astronauts, space enthusiasts and now the average person is space travel to Mars. Mars One is now allowing the everyday person to apply to go on a trip to the planet but with a catch, you're not coming back. While a daunting deal breaker for most, many still are wanting to leave their lives back on earth behind. With over 200,000 people who applied, there will be only four who hopefully travel to Mars in 2024. Now you might be asking yourself, why would you ever do that?

2014 Academy Awards Fashion

With another awards show behind us, people start to take a closer look at what the leading ladies were wearing. The 2014 Academy Awards are no different, many stars showed their best and my favorites are below!

Sandra Bullock looked amazing in a Alexander McQueen dress.

Cate Blanchett dazzled in this Armani dress. 

Naomi Watts looked classic in a Calvin Klein Collection dress. 

The amazing Jennifer Lawrence looked fabulous in a Prada dress. 

  

Kristen Bell looked amazing in a Roberto Cavalli dress.

Lupita Nyong'o in my opinion stole the show with her amazing Prada dress. 

The Color Test

I don't know why but all of the sudden, different science tests have become more and more intriguing. With the reading test a couple of weeks ago, I saw something that focused on color and it drew me in. It is a simple test that calculates your color awareness. it sounds weird but trust me, its really interesting. it looks like this: 

and it has you play with the color and it gives you a final score at the end. 

Before you start you can adjust your light and angle on your computer and then you're ready to go!
