Bobbi Brown

Firstly, I want to apologize for my lacking in posts this week, I promise I'll be better :)
But for today, I want to introduce you to my (probably) favorite makeup brand: Bobbi Brown. Ever since my mom introduced me to Bobbi Brown, I fell in love. They believe in natural, yet beautiful makeup looks and that is everything that I love. One of my favorite quotes from Ms. Bobbi Brown herself is "See perfect skin not make-up" I love the quote and I love the brand so I thought it would be right to share some of my favorites.

Aka, my lifesaver. This is defiantly one of the best concealers out there. It gives you the concealer and also the power to make it look more natural. One of my all time favorites that I wear everyday.

This product is one of those products that saves you in winter. It is like a moisturizer that gives your face a much needed burst of hydration. It is yet another product that I wear every single day.

I am not a lip stick wearing person but this gives me a lovely hint of color without leaving the lip too daring but giving them a gorgeous boost.

This was one of my Christmas presents and I have fallen in love. I love how this brush can sweep your entire eye and blends it perfectly.

The name says it all, I feel like every girl should have that go-to mascara and this is defiantly mine. I wear it everyday and it is fabulous!

f. The Smokey Warm Palette
Sadly not still available, but if you were able to catch it when I posted it for my Favorite Autumn and Winter Makeup then your in luck! I love this simple palette but Bobbi Brown has something very similar that I love! The Old Hollywood Eye Palette!

Frozen

Over the weekend I saw Disney's Frozen and oh my goodness it was good! Like everyone else, I had heard the song Let it go by Idina Menzel and thought it was good but one of my friends convinced me to see Frozen and I am so glad I did! It was fabulous! In case you haven't heard, it is now going to be turned into a Broadway musical and I am so excited. So, if you haven't seen it i  highly recommend it! It was a cute, funny Disney movie that although it was designed for little tots, everyone would love it.

And in case you haven't heard the hit song, here is Let it go by Idina Menzel:

Peter Pan proposes to Wendy

At the end of the performance of Peter Pan, normally Peter Pan kisses Wendy and they all live happily ever after right? But on this day not only Peter Pan and Wendy lived happily ever after. Over the weekend in Glasgow, Scotland actor Sandor Sturbl who plays Peter Pan decided to cut things short in the final act. He stopped the singing and explained who the girl playing Wendy was while everyone in the audience stopped and stared in delight. The actress playing Wendy was Sturbl's girlfriend Lilly-Jane Young. So, in Young's hometown with her family in a packed and excited audience, Sturbl got down on one knee and what comes next will leave you in joy.

Golden Globes 2014

With the Golden Globes this part Saturday, it was the perfect start to awards season 2014. The stars didn't disappoint and Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were absolutely hilarious. The fashion didn't disappoint either, the stars brought it all and showed what 2014 will bring in the fashion world.
Here are some of my favorites below:

Lupita Nyong'o in a gorgeous Ralph Lauren Collection dress.

Naomi Watts stunned in this Tom Ford golden dress.

Newly engaged Emma Roberts wore this black Alber Elbaz dress.

Country- Pop star Taylor Swift arrived in a Carolina Herrera dress

Pregnant Oliva Wilde showed off her baby bump in this Gucci Premiere dress.

Sofia Vergara stunned in this beautiful Zac Posen dress, paired with a turquoise necklace.

Emma Watson made a statement in a Dior Couture dress with no back! Check out the second picture to see how she paired the dress with black pants.

Miss Golden Globe herself, Sosie Bacon looked beautiful in this cream dress.

Did I miss anyone? If so, comment below!

My Favorite Candles

For me, the perfect candle scent can be tricky to find but once you find a good one, you keep it. I love a very light scent and nothing to heavy. For me, the simpler the better and these candles capture it perfectly. I have found two of my all time favorite candles to share with you.
This might take the cake for my all time favorite candle. Pictured on the left, this is a perfect scent for me. It is a very light vanilla but doesn't smell like pure artificial sugar. I loved this candle so much I went out and bought more to give away for Christmas. I found this at antropologie and fell in love. It come in the Original Scent and it smells absolutely lovely. There are other types of products in this same scent but the candle was my absolute favorite.

Feed Candle
This is also one of my favorites. Created by Feed during their stint at Target, I picked up this candle in the scent gardenia. it has a fresh scent that although not sweet, provides a very fruity/tea infused candle. Although it is not still available... :(  Feed came out with a very similar candle that is sure to please just as much.

P&G Thank You Moms

For the summer Olympics in 2012, P&G created an ad showing what it takes to make it to the Olympics, showing how it is a lifelong battle and how moms are there every step of the way. They are there for the falls and for the victories and moms give their support through it all. They have done it again, they released an ad thanking moms, but this time for the winter Olympics and it is adorable. I hope you enjoy and give your mom a hug tonight for all that she does for you!

Here is the 2012 summer Olympics ad:

Twitter

I have officially joined Twitter. Yes, I should have done this ages ago, but I finally caved and signed up for Twitter. After spending a good 30 minutes trying a find a username that wasn't like lizp4563 or something strange like that because every simple user name was taken...

But, I settled on Lizzie_Parrish

So go follow me! I can't promise on posting very much but since I'm super late to joining Twitter, give the newbie a follow :)

Toms Marketplace

One of my favorite places to buy gifts is at the Toms Marketplace. Though it was released fairly recently, the products that you can find are amazing. It is like a Etsy type store with dozens of "sellers" selling interesting products from organic wood children's toys to bracelets made in Namibia, Africa. I would defiantly check this place out because you never know what kind of treasures you can find.

2014 Horoscopes

I'm normally not one for horoscopes but I came across the 2014 horoscopes yesterday. In the fun of new years day, I decided to inspire myself by reading mine. I am a Taurus and what I read really gave me a "you will do great things this year" kind of mood, which I though I should pass along. I want to spend this year doing something with my life that I can look back on this time next year and say "2014 was a great year."

Here is the link:

I would defiantly recommend to find you sign, and get inspired for 2014!

But since this is a blog looking at myself, I thought that I would then tell you all my horoscope because
a) you might be interested in my life as a Taurus
or
b) you don't know is you want to get inspired

2014 Overview:
2014 is the year of expansion, fulfilling work and stellar wellbeing, Taurus! If you've fallen prey to the typical Taurus legacy of neglecting your own needs and taking care of everyone else's problems, this is the year to take your power and your life force back so that you can invest in a brand-new life. No, this does not make you selfish or uncaring, this makes you true yourself and with a greater capacity to give to your loved ones because you will no longer be running on empty -- which is probably how you've felt over the past few years. You've certainly learned the art of releasing control in 2013. The good news is that the fog is finally about to lift as the South Node finally moves out of your stars this March. You've been letting go of so many things -- from material possessions to antiquated concepts around values and security. In fact, you've relinquished so much that you may barely recognize your life at this point, Taurus. You've certainly learned to simplify your world in 2013, and now you're getting ready to go rebuild towards greater beauty and harmony. The focus of 2014 is all about communication, work and daily ritual. If you've been promising yourself for eons that you'll get your daily routine into better balance as in: more exercise, better sleep and less work, this is the year to make that happen.
2014 will bring plenty of opportunities for networking and learning new things. Your curiosity is piqued especially through July. Use this positive influence to turn any negative though patterns into more optimistic, big-picture thinking. This is your year to find your inspiration, hope and purpose. If you've been struggling to figure out what you came to this Earth to do, you can count on 2014 to deliver the vision. Now that you've relinquished all that no longer serves you, there is room for the new to take hold and improve your world in a thousand ways.
There is a big emphasis this year on your work and health zone, so plan to direct the majority of your energy towards your daily affairs, projects and your wellbeing in 2014. You're learning the art of balance and beauty, and finding new ways to make your work more creative and less dreary. This is because your entire mindset is changing for the better and you're realizing that just because you're loyal, hardworking and full of more perseverance than most doesn't mean that you have to stick it out in what feels more like drudgery and duty than work that you love.

So... did you read it all?
If you were like me the first time around and just skimmed , I don't blame you. But if you really read it all, bravo and I hope it showed you that these little words of wisdom came really make you inspired and do great things in 2014.

Enjoy!
